what to visit

Crowne Plaza

If you are the kind of person that prefer to discover for yourself the culture of real Mexico, we recommend you to rent a car, and take one day to explore Los Cabos surroundings.

La Paz is Baja California Sur Capital, it is located 110 miles North of Cabo San Lucas.
You can go from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz by Highway 19, expect 2 hours driving in a 2 line road. Half way you encounter Todos Santos that was newly named "Magical Town" by the Tourism Board of Mexico.

From San Jose del Cabo, you can get to La Paz by Highway 1, it will take you also 2 hours, but is more to see, and usually is less traffic, since is an older curvy road.
Just 30 minutes driving, and you get to Miraflores and Santiago, both a truly Oasis in the Baja Desert.
Almost half way to La Paz, Buenavista and Los Barriles towns will catch your sight. We locals call that area East Cape, and has become a favorite place for Americans and Canadians to get retired. It is an excellent place for fishing, and real estate is a lot cheaper.
After this, the road become curvy while you climb the mountains to San Bartolo, San Antonio and El Triunfo, the last one called for the French Mining Company that was settled there last century prospecting gold.
